Does sashimi taste good [Solved]

I think sashimi is delicious.
depending on what you get, it usually has a buttery taste and texture. sometimes it could have a rubbery and neutral texture and taste, as with octopus.
unless you live close to the ocean, you are not gonig to get the freshest fish.
many culinary experts will tell you that you are crazy to eat it if you dont live by the ocean.
a little research doesnt hurt. ask them where they get their fish from, and find out if their suppliers only serve fish that was flown in (or caught) that day.
also, fish that has been frozen is not good, b/c when you thaw the fish, there are bacterial risks. anytime you go from one temp. extreme to another, there is a risk.
now, I live in the midwest and I still eat sashimi all the time. any decent place should not give you a problem, but you would be surprised.

If you live in the middle of nowhere, though, wait until youre in the middle of somewhere to try it. Its the same grade fish as is sushi, and thats the top grade and served absolutely fresh.

Its very much a question of personal taste. You wont know if its to your particular taste without trying it. Neither can anyone else.

It would definately be worth your time. You should always be willing to try something new. Never limit yourself

id say try it once with soy sauce and with or without wasabi.. (try wasabi on its own first (like a small dot) and see if you can handle the burn heh)

Sashimi is a wonderful experience you need to at least try it! It tastes incredibly fresh because it is, and there is nothing else like it! Tuna and Salmon (maguro and sake) are my faves! They are very mild, yet scrumptious!
As long as youre at reputable restaurant, do not worry about bacteria
I have loved it from the startyou have got to at least give it a shot!
Be sure to let us know when you try it and what you think, okay

Sashimi is very tastey! I like just a little soy sauce. I also like it in a salad. Its also very good with Masago (fish eggs). YUM!!!! Yes try itthen you can say that you have. The fish is kept at a very cold temp. so not to get any bacteria. Enjoy!

Sashimi is very tasty~ But it is definitely an acquired taste. I would recommend going to a NICE Japanese restaraunt if it is going to be your first time. That way you know youll be eating fresh fish, prepared to perfection. You should definitely go. I dont know if youll like it too much at first, but eat it 2-3 times, and youll love it. I suggest that you get a couple of other dishes like yakisoba (fried noodles) or sushi rolls (i.e california rolls, crunchy rolls) to compliment the taste. After a while, youll be eating that raw meat like a true Japanese person.
