when its an asshole
I ve always felt as if there were a more deeper meaning to it. It s like two things can look and or sound the same but they don t have to be/ are not the same. It s like. 3 3 = 6 but then again so does 4 2. I feel like it s more than just a punny joke. I feel like it s one of those quotes/ riddles you would get after going through something your life (experiencing something you have never before). For example. When I was younger, around the age of 5 The saying when Life gives you lemons you make lemonade was JUST a saying. Now I know it means (in my perspective at least) when you get an opportunity/ are offered something/ given a chance to do/ pursue something you just HAVE TO DO IT. Or you ll miss out on something you could ve gotten. I don t know. Maybe it s just a punny riddle. But then again if we think deeper and dwell further into it, it could just mean something more than just what it seems or is.
A jar is not a door, but a door cannot actually be a jar. A door can, however, be ajar.

Same as You can tune a piano, but you cant tuna fish.
Tune a is pronounced the same way as tuna. Of course tuna is not a verb, though, and the sentence makes no sense. (And gives no helpful information, anyway, because no one thinks that they can tune a fish either.)
Its just intended to be a bizarre statement that points out two things that sound the same but mean different things.
Also known as a dad joke.
It means the door is ajar which means slightly open and its a pun, really, saying that it is a jar like that one of jam.

Ajar and a jar are spelled differently, and mean different things, but spoken aloud sound exactly the same. That is where the humour comes from (or is supposed to come from).

thankyou for all the answers
ajar means that the door is slightly open.the main purpose of a door is to block off, and allow access to, an entrance to or within an enclosed space.so if its ajar then it isnt serving its purpose as a door
