Headset microphone not working [Solved]

So I have an Etekcity Scroll Gaming Headset (H5GX) and it comes with a built-in mic. My comp is a Lenovo y70 and the microphone is not working it does not recognise it when I open up recording devices. My laptop has two audio ports, one has a symbol of a headset and the other a symbol of a USB. I also tried displaying disabled devices and disconnected devices and it still doesnt appear. Also the audio is fine just the mic is not working and I plugged in the right ports
