Definitely something you want to clarify with your teacher. It wont hold much weight if your teacher wants it due on at a certain time on the due date, but you turned it in later and then said, Well, the people on Y!A said it was due later.
That means the latest you can possibly turn it in is 11:59:59 pm on the 26th. Though I dont think you should wait that long to do the assignment. Hehe. Sometimes professors want it before the end of their class though. But either way.
