Is there a curve on the Chemistry regents in New York State [Solved]

Its a negative curve but I got a 98. and I thought it was 3 to six points below so does that make sense to anyone

You can find it here:
http://www.emsc.nysed.gov/osa/concht/610/home.html

To get 100, you need to get all of it right, which is a raw score of 85.
To get a 90, you must have a raw score of 79 which is actually about 93 percent, so it works negatively for that.
To get a 65 and pass, you need a raw score of 50 which is 58% so it works positive there.

Source(s): I took it on Wednesday too.

The chemistry regents curve is negative if you do well, and positive if you do bad. The point where your grade is the percent is 74% or a raw score of 63.

goshers. well, my chemistry teacher told us that passing chemistry is not like passing the bio or earth science regents. to pass chem regents, you need to know 65% of the material to get a 65 grade. im pretty sure he said that there is no curve for chem regents. because the chemistry material is harder, you are expected to know it. there is just a conversion chart to pass earth science regents, i think you need to know/answer correctly about like 45% of the material to get likea 65 grade and for bio regents , you need to know at least 50% of the material (maybe more than 50%) to get a 65 grade. i guess since most of us aree 11th graders when we take chem, we are expected to know more about the curriculum than bio and earth science. i got a 90 on chem regents and im in regular chemistry. the highest grade i heard was like a 96, and some honors chem kid got that. sorry to hear about ur teacher lol. i dont think that you can take it in june next year, i mean not that ur not allowed to, its just i think that they want u to take it in august as soon as u finished chemistry that year. idk waht im saying lol. i think u should just take it in august and get it over with, bcuz trust me, u dont want to be worrrying about chemistry this upcoming year while dealing with all of ur other school stuff, and physics, if youre taking it in the fall
