Can swallowing too hard or too much cause dry socket after wisdom teeth removal [Solved]

Yes. If you swallow hard, you may create a negative pressure in your mouth that would help to dislodge or even remove the clot. It is just if you kinda c first before swallowing. A nice gentle swallow with your mouth open would help prevent that from happening.

go ahead and swallow you will be find.rinse with warm salt water slowly and let it drool from the side of your mouth.dont spit it out forcefully because it will pull out the blood clot thats trying to form.just eat soft foods until you feel comfortable enough to eat harder foods.i wouldnt keep putting gauze in the extracted area after an hr.just live it alone.do not put your tongue over it either because you could pull out the blot clot forming.just rest, relax today.make sure yourdefinitely full before you take any of those pills because they are definitely strong and do make people feel nausious.dont worry about a little blood.thats normal.tomorrow if you start getting severe pain then that means you didnt allow a blood clot to form and now a dry socket formed.that would mean you would need to see your dentist asap.i think you will be ok though.you know what to do,i think.

I think the main risk is using a straw. I dont think the throat movement can bother the clot, only if you use a cing motion with your mouth. Did they pack it with cloth make sure to keep it packed. I got dry socket and I was really sick. Good luck
