Social learning or observational learning can lead to two consequences, first is a person observes another person in a certain way and receives a negative result or consequence through which they learn not to behave in such a way and second is the person receives a positive consequence thus incorporating such behavior patterns in their behavior. Then there is imitation which is completely different from observational learning. For adults, observational learning examples are while traveling to a certain country and learning their ways and methods by observing the locals. - By Observing people

1.By Observing people
Everyone you will ever meet knows something you dont. Bill Nye
One can simply learn many things just by observing others. Every individual one meets knows something different or something new. Social learning or observational learning can lead to two consequences, first is a person observes another person in a certain way and receives a negative result or consequence through which they learn not to behave in such a way and second is the person receives a positive consequence thus incorporating such behavior patterns in their behavior. Children learn faster by observing others around them like their friends, family members, or even strangers.
2.Taking notes of mistakes made by others
One should never repeat the same mistake as made by the other person despite knowing that it is wrong. That is the best way to keep away from making the same mistakes. If one makes a mistake, rather than criticizing them one can also advise them not to do the same or at least teach oneself not to make the same mistake as them.
3.Being open to constructive criticism
Constructive criticism can lead to better performance, be it in studies or at the workplace, or even for life decisions. Constructive criticism from someone reliable should always be taken into consideration. One should at least reflect on the criticism or at least remember it and not make the same mistake another time. Its a common human reflex to get defensive while receiving some constructive criticism, but to learn something from others one needs to let the guard down and at least listen to what the other person is trying to imply.

4.Comparing situations created by others and their results
One can easily learn new things just by comparing or observing from the situation in what one is put and what all mistakes were made by others in the same situation. One can avoid the same typical mistakes while performing the same task just by observing others behavioral patterns of others in the same situation. For example, if a student performed badly on exams and his/her mistakes were pointed by the teacher to the remaining class. Then from this one should avoid doing the same mistake as that other student.
5.Reaching out for help
While being stuck in a certain situation, which is not possible to be solved on own, then in such difficult situations one should always reach out to others for help. Or refer to examples by reading certain books, or surfing about the same situation on the internet seeking positive and helpful results. For example, during school time, one should always reach out to teachers for solving academic problems or seeking out opinions. Or one can also reach out to seniors for the same situation.
6.Socializing
A different point of view and perspectives can be obtained by socializing with people who have similar interests. Usually one can also learn many things from others at social events like parties, get-to-gathers, weddings, or even reunions. One can gain great advice, life skills, any sort of additional knowledge, or even motivation by socializing with like-minded people or groups. But while socializing with friends one should always remember that quality is always better than quantities. And also similar or better qualities are always the best. For socializing one can attend social events, or even volunteer for community centers or any such tasks, develop an interest in new things and take lessons for them, and many more.
7.Offering help
As one seeks help in difficult times or while unable to understand something, some lessons, topics, or any sort of query. In the same way, one should always be available for someone else and help out. Through helping both the parties are in benefit. The receiver is relieved of the issue and in the same way, the giver knows an additional thing, and also a feeling of satisfaction develops.
8.Getting to know more people
One can gain great advice, life skills, any sort of additional knowledge, or even motivation by socializing with like-minded people or groups. A different point of view and perspective can be obtained by socializing with like-minded people who have similar interests and choices. Thus knowing more people and developing connections with them is always beneficial in gaining more and more knowledge.
